Hey guys,

So I'm currently doing work on my sisters car as she's become overwhelmed with faults. The traction control light is on along with ABS, TPMS and steering assist. I have a pretty good diagnostic kit 'Autel MK808BT' and it's coming up fault code 00283 ( Left front ABS wheel speed sensor - Electrical error in circuit ). Both front hubs have been changed so I know its not the abs sensor ring. When spinning the passenger wheel it doesn't give a speed reading like the rest but is a new sensor. I'm stuck what to do next.

Fault code 00778 - steering angle sensor is also on is that usually a replacement

Lastly changed the front brake pads and can't locate the brake pad sensor connector or wire to connect into the new pad is there supposed to be one and if so which side?

The car in question is a 56 plate 2006 Seat Leon 1.6 Petrol Manual.

All help appreciated thanks!

Bit weird, can you swap the driver and passenger side sensor. I know it's new, but might just be unlucky.

I thought the sensor was passenger side. If your 100% sure there's no connector on the car, just cut the cable off the pad.

Hi,

Thank you for the response so today i decided to trace the cable back and found damage to the cable the other side of the wheel well which i guess has happened on previous installation as IT IS a replacement cable. Either way i have installed temporary cables just so i could test to see if that was the issue and it was so just waiting on new wiring loom to arrive.

I also checked thoroughly again today and still no brake sensor connector anywhere so i've cut the connection off.

Still can't get rid of the steering light. I checked advanced measures on diagnostic and when turning the steering wheel either way the value is still zero?

Any ideas?

Thanks
