I'm thinking about buying vagcom as every problem the cupra gets can pretty much get solved by vagcom.

So can anyone tell me the best place to get the setup with leads.

And what ram etc i will need to run it off my laptop

Might be easier to stick with UK based suppliers as the exchange rate is not so good and local support is better for non US sold car models, so that means someone like www.ilexa.co.uk

That's poor advice

Ilexa sell @ £219.30+VAT
Ross-Tech @ $249.00+VAT & ID

Even at the **** x/rates that we have currently you'd have to be a mug to buy from one of these UK chancers

Each to their own, but remember that very few "smaller" models of VAG products ended up being sold in USA so USA based help lines might not be fully "with it" when it comes to smaller model unique problems - and these "chancers" will let you on to their help forums. So, if you are lucky (and don't get whacked for other taxes) you can save quite a bit - but you will then end up scrounging off UK based help forums - a bit like a tape worm really?
