Hi Guys,

I'm not very good with in car entertainment and wiring different things etc.

Anyways, to cut a long story short, I've just bought a LCR 225 with quite a lot of gadgets inside but no sub. I have my own sub, and I've also put my own headunit inside the car and wired it up to the amps. (Just how the previous owner did - haven't changed anything).

Spec:

Amplifiers:

Alpine MRD-M605
Genesis Profile 4

Headunit:

Alpine CDA 9887R

Subwoofer:

Alpine Sub (Not sure what model)

The car also has a flip down TV/Screen, PS2 Slim & DVD player installed.

Now I have a few pictures below, I'm not sure if these will help you to help me fit my sub?

There's quite a thick wire loose in the boot, which I think may be for the sub but don't think I can use that??

Any help will be great, cheers.

Its been well done, looks like the genesis amp is running all the speakers in front and rear and i assume the alpine amp speaker cable (those in the sheath) are not connected to anything?

Yea, its not connected to anything. It's just a circle connection but my sub just has red/black speaker wire coming out of it.

Any idea where I can wire the sub speaker wire too?

Cheers.

Are you saying you've got everything wired up to the amp but no outputs left for the sub speaker to wire into because you've used all the connections on the amp? Sorry I'm not quite following what you're needing.

Sorry I'm a bit of a novice with this..

Basically, as you can see ive got 2 amps running and as far as I'm aware the genesis amp doesn't have any free connections but the alpine one does. I think a sub was wired in previously using the thick cable that you can see (with a blue end) but my sub only has speaker wire, not a big circle connection, so I'm wondering, where do I wire the sub?

Cheers.

If thats the case looks like they had a dual voice coil 2 or 8 ohm sub running (depends how they wired it), youll need to change how the wiring is on it although very easy.
Remove the wiring completely that is in the convulated tubing then attach your sub to the + and - and done! (ensure you attach your sub the right way round)
Just make sure before installing the amp isnt overkill on your sub.

Cheers mate, the wrong way round?

Also, it looks like there are 4 outputs where the current lead is connected too, does it matter which one I connect too?

Cool I see what you're asking now, can you not get hold of a pdf manual for the amp offline so you know exactly what's what or do you already know that the thick wire is for the speaker cab?

Lol you got there first and with a better answer:D

I edited- very tired.lol.

Could only see one set of outputs in the manual and its a monoblock amp which means there would only be one set...

Tired you say. I know what you mean. It took me that long to try and get my post together that you got in while I was still faaaa:sleeping:

There are 4 wires going to 2 terminals. You should then only have 2 inputs. If there were more than the image above would read +--+ or +-+- but it is only + - therefore only 2 terminals
