x2 .... Quite nice system!!

x3 Also prefer this... with filter in wheel well water is a problem for me as well as the turbulence of direct airflow onto the filter!

What worries me tho is that Forge is ok with us modding their kits... shouldn't these mods affect the performance as djhorace says?

Also there's not much that can be shortened as just above the filter is silicone bend!

Forge.. please comment on reason for diff bet Scirocco setup and that for TFSi.. educate us:)

Scirroco kit is " on test " more soon

I did not advocate cutting the hose to stop water ingress, the customer asked if he can cut the pipe , my answer , sure if you want to !!! please dont misinterpret my words ....
The Forge inatke is a TRUE cold air intake , the loaction of the filer in the engine bay will not work ....period ... in tests on our MK5 we were struggling ( as so many do ) to beat the stock filter and airbox , we use many , many different set ups and this one worked the best giving some good gains

So you prefer more yours CAI intake setup than example. That new test intake model, which was installed to Scirrocco.. ? Any test results of your new "Ram-Air" designed intake.. Could that gives even more benefits ?

no . thats not what I meant , In early tests with the Mk5 golf the Forge CAI ( ind02 ) was the best at the time ....the new design on the Scirroco is in development and I do not hjave all the test data as yet so I am making no assumption on which is best at this time

lol better than nuthing :) i will get my cupra intake if it kills me, seems no one cares about the cupra :( lol

Get the dbilas mate. It is a real nice piece of kit, several people on here have one, and there are no bad reports on it.

It seems like you are buying based on price rather than form or function. Just spend the dosh and get one - you wont regret it. Take advantage of the lower VAT price and any xmas bargains the companies on here have like JKM.

By the way you could have an EVOMS kit for your car from JKM as well as the dbilas. Revo have one on their K1 and it looks far superior to the Forge kit above.

PMSL! I have decided that you are a total cheap skate mate

May I ask why you are doing your own one? Fair play if you do a good job, but you are gonna need to be able to bend "hard" pipe, create a perfect fitment for the MAF and figure out how to support the unit from the filter end. Oh, and meaure out how to get it to fit it properly to the turbo side ;)
