The code they have just released appears to be for the Golf R, S3, TT-S and new Cupra R. But they all share a very similar engine to ours. So I've asked the question if this is compatible with the BWJ engine and whether its of any benefit.

They quote 329hp with all my mods and a Carbonio, I know on my current 98 RON code this isn't possible without an intake I can achieve it with the Dbilas on. But as it is currently with the Carbonio 315hp is the maximum. Though of course it depends on what RR or on-road logging they quote their numbers by.

They also state a 104 RON race code which is supposed to deliver up to 362hp but not sure if they will provide it as a rest of the world ROW code. I've posted on Vortex hopefully I can get some feedback, also PM'd Keith from APR.

Does anyone have a contact email for ITG? I want an intake ASAP so I want to register my interest with them.

Edit: Found one!

Hey, I was just reading through the thread there, and i know carbonios arent really rated, but that link to the new apr one for the tsi, the pictures of the stage II intake, and awesome said they are supposedly bringing one out for the tfsi in the near future, does this mean that it will be an actual cai? as it comletely replaces the factory airbox? sorry if this is a stupid question, not too clued up on the whole cai thing and trying to decide which one to go for

Yes it should be a proper CAI with a enclosed cone filter like the TSI version and it would have to replace the engine cover airbox. Whether they will design the intake around it or produce an alternative engine cover is unknown.

At what point APR are in the process of developing such a product is not known at the moment, I've recently asked the question in APR's section and with any luck we may get some indications in due course.

Thanks zboyd, so then anyone with the original carbonio should be able to get this add on piece once its out?

Doubtful, it will be have to be its own product, the current Carbonio is only a CAI for the stock airbox, not designed to have an induction cone filter inside it.

This will need to be fully designed and bypass the stock airbox entirely. A cone induction filter would not fit inside the current Carbonio.

TFSI has a different MAF location, and will likely have to lose the engine cover, unless APR/Carbonio can design around it, but there isn't much space so I think they will lose the engine cover to be honest.

This is what h8t wp is running!

Any idea how the BSH trueseal intake is working? There are not much comments from the users. Has anyone done any logging g/s before/after? How does it compare to ITG?
