i bet they couldnt mike an addo are full of bullshit

sorry davei know your pleased with your get up and theres no reason why you shouldnt be, but iv had private chats with a few people who werent happy with the service they recieved

and i doubt mike and addo have sorted an intercooler in over 6 months, not to mention the fact that they take that long to get the work done to convert the core

lol arent we talking about them?

no matter who done the work, it still takes them ages afterall its not the fabrication its the conversion from twin pass to single and whether they can be arsed

are you sure your not thinking of the GRS core they converted under request for people??

iirc my core has always been single pass since the start of its life, never been a duel pass

naaaaaaa, im pretty sure my core has always been designed as a single pass core
grs was something they done for people

sloppy cupra has a grs core converted and you can see all the welds and fillings where the conversion took place, totally totally different to mine

Watch this space... I'm in the early stages of design and build of my own intercooler. My requirements are effective cooling, alloy mandrel bend pipework and single pass, it will also need to cope with a big turbo too.

I'll try and get pictures throughout the build should things go accoridng to plan and on time, and if it does come off it may also be available through a site sponser.

what core are you using?

you cant really have all your sweets in one jar...too small of a core and it wont be effective enough for a BT, too big and it will just pressure drop and increase lag on a stock turbo/k03s

JJ - I've been playing a waiting game, sold my AM04 kit to Dave and have since sold my H&R Cup Kit + Forge Intercoolver to lil_kev. But all is not lost, I'm actually waiting for bits to make the base of the car even stronger to cope with big power...

The list of bits I'm waiting on (or have sat here) is as follows;

- Peloquin ATB Diff (Arrives tomorrow)
- Vibra-Technics Race Engine Mounts (Arrive Friday)
- Poly Bushes (Here)
- B&M Short Shifter (Been here ages)
- Aquamist 1S (Same as above!)
- H&R Coilovers (Wrong set sent, awaiting replacements)
- New ball joings, track rod ends, top mounts, top mount bearings (Sat here)
- New FMIC (In the middle of a little something)
- SPEC Stage 3 Clutch + Billet Steel G60 Flywheel (Need to order this week)

Hoping to have everything, apart from the FMIC, from the above list fitted to the car by the end of January. The intercooler will hopefully be done around th same time then once thats done it's big power time.

Been looking at Garrett GT2871R's, IHI .20 Housing, and a few other options. One of the two other options I'm sitting watching proved to not make the figures expected and has since been wiped off my list. The other I'm waiting completion of the car to see how it turns out.

Once the choice has been made the turbo and possibly internal work will commence, aim to have the car done by March / April so watch this space...!

I'm going the lazy route and waiting for something nice to come up...
But if i had the time / money / inclination a DIY project would be far more satisfying...
