Did a quick search but couldn't find the exact answer I was after...

There's quite a bit of front to back engine movement on my 130tdi when coming on/off the throttle. Which mount needs replacing to tighten this up?

Front, rear or both? Any ideas on prices and if it's a DIY or garage job?

Cheers

Steve

The two on the sides of the engine by vibra-technics and the front one can be done by Jabba iirc dog bone mount or something?

Do two side ones, you need a bit of play otherwise it'll vibrate like a bi4tch!

Sorry should have mentioned I'm only planning on OE replacements.

So the two side ones should be done to reduce the drive train shunt?

Ah, umm in that case maybe front and back will stop the excess play??

Get ones from a Cupra TDI as they are slightly harder.

Cheers, hadn't thought of curpa mounts.

Do you know it's a diy job to change or will the engine need supported?

Pass on that, think the battery needs to come out etc on passenger side, ask rashcupra about drivers side - he just had both done!

just found this

the pd130 may be diffrent ive never really looked at a 130 engine bay :hide:

but on my cupra you need to support the engine and strip it back so could be a garage job if you have the tools :)

Cheers rash, think I'll best leave it for Star Performance to look at next year.

Any idea exactly which mounts would be causing the front/back movement?

mounts are probably diffrent on the pd130 but i think it would be the the "rear dogbone mount) vibratechnics do an uprated 1 sodo jabba iirc
