Hi everyone. Hope you are well. I've just bought a stock Mk1 Seat Leon FR PD150. Would like to fit an oil catch can but unsure which one is good to buy and which size hose. I've read somewhere that I need a certain size hose due to the pressures ?

thank you

Hi Kev, you will need 19mm internal diameter oil resistant hose. As for catch cans then it’s up to you and your budget mate. I fitted one years ago and still fine. I initially had the outlet routed down by the wheel arch to atmosphere but garage mechanic advised me to sort it properly!!!
Just empty any residue once a month (not that much only about 3-5mm of gunk & water)

First of all, why do you want it?
If I look to it, there is no reason for it. Only extra cost and work.
Only reason some people do it. Is for the looks and that the waste is not going to the intake. Because the think it delivers dirt on the valve and this causes extra issues later on.

From that part that only happens when the engine is not going higher as 2500rpm.
And mainly also because of the internal egr function.
With hot engine going through full time range. Will keep the intake valve clean.
