Looks like a good setup, I like the Cupra R Brembo's, just couldnt find a set and carriers for what I paid for the Porsche ones I have. Hopefully the spacers will be here tomorrow, them going to get them professionally "power bled" before I bed them in etc.

Cant wait

Hey mike brakes look spot on and been looking into doing the same setup as you have and wondering where you got the caliper carriers from?
I have seen them on awesome's site but thought that there were too pricey for what they are!! Just wondering if they are available anywhere else. Cheers

Cheers uncle fester i have signed up on there and will have a look for him. Just been having a little read about which calipers to buy and looks like they have to be Boxster S or 996 Carrera 2/4 rears as the normal Boxster ones have to modified (skimmed) and skinny pads fitted.
Anyone know of any other porsche calipers that fit or anything else to be aware of.

Cheers in advance

look for boxster rears part number 996.351.421 and 422, they will fit as the pad pins are 27mm apart.

look from a breakers, theres some good deals to be hadmate,

Hi all, just been looking online and wondering what thickness the discs should be. Seen 312mm discs with 22mm and 25mm thickness so a little puzzled!?

PS cheers James. I was replying at the same time as you so didnt see it until i had posted

cool cheers, will use my standard cupra ones at the moment most probably, but would like to change the lot in one go if funds will stretch.

well.... they are painted, laquered.....

close, need lines and some pads yet, had a mot nightmare that just cost me a ton, so they are on the back burner, but im gonna order the lines and pads, then i have the full setup for £450... how much you pay for yours again pal?

getting some custom 325mm discs aswell i think...

Brembo GT kit cost a grand but im lazy and they were done in a few hours lol. Are you getting the DS2500 pads?

no not ds2500, cant be paying 150 for porsche ds2500 when i dont track it mate.

im looking at black diamond predators, heard some good reviews on them on uk mkvs.

think, 325mm, 4 pot brembos and them pads will be a sufficient upgrade from the stock 312mm calipers.

Can anyone confirm that 28mm discs fit in the boxster caliper?

I have a ECS 2 V2 kit on my octy and new new rotors, the 26mm ones are mega money but 28mm are a lot cheaper.

28mm wont fitinto boxster calipers... rears anyhow, the pad pins are only 22mm apart.

i have 996 rears which are the same as the boxster fronts and are also 27mm apart at the pad pins

for larger diameter discs youll be wanting a bigger caliper.

i now have the full setup for this, sticking with 312mm discs...

996 rears, 312mm discs, black diamond pads, badger bill stainless hoses, custom caliper carriers, painted new logos

£480 all in bargain for a 4pot brembo porker brake setup
