Cheers mate. Goodridge made me some custom lines for £45 including vat and delivery, very pleased with that price

Mike i have only got the brake lines left to get now and happy to pay that price for them. Do you have an order number that i could ask them to repeat or a contact number to get them ordered. For some reason i cant find how to PM you to ask this.

Also if anyone else knows where i can get them from for around the same money i would be greatful. Cheers

oh when it said banned i thought it was banned from driving. Just realised that the calipers i have are 996 352 421/422 but seems to be 996 351 421/422 that a few people have mentioned. Does anyone know if these will fit. Item number 150327358266 if it can still be viewed. Cheers

Hi all finally getting around to changing the front callipers on my car to the porsche boxster s ones as can use the old man's car tomorrow :)! I have got one fitted on the car at the moment but 2 of the 4 pins at the bottom of the calliper that hold the pads in place (not the retaining pin at the top of the calliper) are pushed up on the disc!! This means the discs doesn't turn and wondering how i have ended up with this issue when nobody on here has mentioned it before (just my bloody luck). Can these pins can be moved back or do i have to take a few mm of the end of the pins? Anyone who has fitted these calipers on a cupra can you let me know how far off the disc these 4 pins were when you fitted them?

You mean the caliper pistons?. Remove the lid of your brake fluid reservoir, and wrap a rag around it to catch any fluid that may spill over. If the pads are still in the brake calipers then you can gently force them back with a flat bladed screw driver. Wrap something over the end of the blade also if you wish. If the pads are out, it may be a bit trickier but you still should be able to pop them back. Do it slowly and evenly. You don't want any crap going behind the rubber seals or any fluid leaks.

No mate not the pistons ive pushed them back. Below the pistons there are 4 pins that the pads sit on and the 2 inside are up against the disc and the outside ones are about 4mm away. When you look at the front of the caliper (with the porsche writing on) you can see the other end of these pins each side of the writing. can see them in this pic from earlier in this thread but have to go to page 3 and click there mate sorry. gap between the pins is 28mm

what size discs are you trying to fit them onto?

what porsche calipers are they, boxster s rears or fronts?

sounds like the offset is wrong, what caliper carriers did you get?

Sorry lads for the late reply i had a gutsful last night. Im using standard cupra discs and the calipers are 996 352 421/422. The carriers are off someone on the golf forum i think (bought them a while back and cant remember exactly but im sure that i can sort that problem with a bit of time but wondering if anyone who has fitted these calipers before can remember if the pins im talking about (can see them on the first pic of the painted calipers on page 3 of this thread) were 28mm apart on theirs?
Thought i would check if i could get my wheels on with the calipers and im gonna need spacers :( or new wheels. Anyone using spacers on here and if so what size are they? Im thinking im gonna need about 15mm but is there an accurate was of measuring up or is it really just measure the distance the wheel is off the hub holding it just off the caliper? Bloody gutted to be honest thought i would be able to get them sorted last night as not really a difficult job but theres always something to wind me up and chuck a spanner in the works lol!!

if the pins are 28mm apart, why would a 25mm disc rub on them, id say the offset of the caliper is totally wrong, if you used the carriers from dave brown on ukmk1vs then they will fit,

the part numbers on the calipers are the correct ones, have you just trial fitted or properly tightened it all up?

Hi there, I just fitted Porsche calipers and had to fit 10mm Forge sacers and 10mm longer bolts (ebay), this allowed my original FR wheels to fit :D

Hi James, i was thinking the same but only a bit of messing about to get them to fit. Its only 1.5mm each side so when im tightening them up properly i will sort it. Anyone know what size the bolts are that hold the carriers onto the hub (were originally used for holding the standard calipers)?

BruceR how did you calculate the spacer size you needed? Dont want to put any bigger than i need to.

After trial fitting calipers, discs, etc I tried offering up my wheel and found they were touching against the caliper with approx 5mm gap at one side - ie. rocking back and forth - so I knew a 10mm spacer would clear.

Right been mucking about with the wheel off this morning again and come to the conclusion that i would need 20mm spacers to get the wheels on and they would be to far out of the arches and would look crap!! So going to be leaving them off until i can find myself a nice set of 19s (just the wheels as have new tyres and will refurb and respray the existing wheels and sell them on). Anyone have 19's on their leon and have plenty of caliper clearance (suppose the LCR calipers aint far off the width of the porsche ones) as dont wanna make the same mistake again :( (like the BBS LM's but worry about getting any kind of dished wheels again)
