Hey all just bought a cupra mk4 ibiza which has a realy rubbish after market wiper arm on [:@].

Cant get my hands on the standard rear wiper arm which hides the wiper blade. So i was wondering what other makes fit on and look just as good.

Heard the fabia vrs rear wiper arm looks good and fits ? is that correct

many thanks in advance

It's probably a pre-2006 car you've got with the dodgy wiper, the post 2006 ones have the banana one!

hi sorry to bump a thread thats a couple of days old..

what is the "banana" one? my mk4 rear wiper is the one that hides the wiper but only half of the blade wipes the rear screen.. is this just the way it is or is it just a naff blade?

Yes, the banana wiper is the one on the 2006 - 2008 cars, i call it a 'banana' due to the curve :p

It's down to personal choice really, i think it looks a lot better than the standard ones but think the Polo arm looks better, that's what i have now. The arms cost about £20 from scrapyards/ebay.

This is the Polo arm:

Much better mate compared to the original (looks wise anyway) here's a comparison of mine:

Got mine from Veyron, what a geeza :D

i think ive got the banana one looking at the pics.. can i pm someone a link to a photo of mine? if i have i guess just replace the blade and see how it goes..

the guy who i bought the car from at the weekend reckoned he'd had it looked at and it was a silly amount of money to fix.. cant see that personally, i'll try a new blade at the weekend.

Veyron, just a quickie...
Is your polo rear wiper off of a mk6? Im all over getting one for my Ibiza. I heard a bit of trimming needs to be done. Any chance you could tell me what to do?
Apologies for hijacking the thread.

Hi, i'm not sure it came off an 03 plate , this style:

It does need quite a lot of trimming, mine scratched the glass quite badley because i didn't trim it before i put it on. The best bet is to compare it to your standard one and only put it on when the cap matches as that's the main problem area!
