As I have decided to keep my car a bit longer I am looking at the possibilities of different suspension set ups.

I have thus far had (all on stock shocks)

Stock Suspension - Leany, wooly and stotty.
Eibach Pro Kit - Too hard, not really any improvement on ride height.
Eibach Sportline - Nice ride height, supple ride, better handling.

I have thought about some shocks to pair up with the Eibach Sportlines, but I am unsure which ones to go for. I have also thought about Coilovers having been in Willies LCR with KW V3's, but I am not sure I will need the adjustment factor of the V3's to be honest.

So far, I cant recall anyone using Sportlines with anything other than stock shocks. I see that there is a pro damper kit for the Sportlines here http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=12042&xSec=750

Opinions?

if you don't need the adjustment factor of the kw v3, try the v2's or v1's.
I'm running on v1 and love them to bits. thing to take into consideration is that KW give you a 2 year warranty on their suspension, so if your car is 2 yrs old then you'll still have the suspension covered if you car's warranty is over.

I've heard lot of good things about sportline kits, but i wanted minor height tweaks for mine.

Also, the sportline option will save you a packet.

I've started with Sportline + Koni FSD combo > did'nt feel right to me (handling was a bit wobbly on the track and a bit too confusing on the road) so I went for the Koni Yellow adjustable shocks > this combo works like a charm for me....

For refrence on ride height etc... check the threadhttp://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=165879&page=3

Have you got a link to the kit you fitted mate?

I have to say I am a little concerned about going with the Eibach shocks as it seems to be combo everyone avoids with Eibach springs for some reason, and I believe that the FSD's are better with Pro Kit springs rather than Sportlines.

Methinks I need to do some homework on this.....

I thought the fsd shocks are designed to pair with original springs, so using them along with sportlines will not do them any justice. The same can be said for pro springs, they are also designed to be used with standard shocks. I have them with my fr`s standard shocks and I think it works well, the ride height is much improved and wheel arch gap is equal front and rear, the cupra is lower as standard so pro springs won`t make so much difference.
I have the eibach pro spring/shock combo on my ibiza tdi and that is very compliant on fast bumpy surfaces, but it is not hard core, just lots better than standard.
Mines only done 11k, I simply couldn`t afford or justify throwing away the original sachs ones.
But will eventually get the shocks done too as they will wear faster on lowered springs. But at the mo` they are still fine. But thinking of going for the eibach`s to match.
(The roads on my 22 mile commute are very bumpy and twisty, but fast in places)
