Which VAG-COM cable would work?

Hey there,

I'm looking to buy a cheap VAG-COM cable and I was wondering if these would work:

The VAG-COM guide in the FAQ section says it has to be a CAN-BUS one in order to work with the newer VAG cars (Mk2). So would those work? I searched on eBay and I found almost exactly the same ones, but I'd rather buy from Amazon so I can directly use my visa card without having to use PayPal, which isn't available in Egypt so it won't work.

All I'm looking for is clearing the error codes that are on my dashboard at the moment, which say: "Check left low beam" and "Check right low beam" and I believe it's because I had projector lenses retrofitted.

They're all the same lead, and none of them will work on a mark 2 Leon. I believe the clue is in the use of the term 'KKL', this is what the older interfaces use.

You posted this as I was typing the previous answer, so I was just referring to the first post. I don't know whether the ELM327 interface is actually compatible with CANBUS, however VAGCOM definitely doesn't work with the ELM327 interface so you'd have to find some other software.

So what does that mean? Does that mean the cable would work but the software won't? I just want any cheap cable that would work so I can clear out the error on the dashboard, nothing more.

Got any links to one(s) that would work? eBay, Amazon, etc.
