Hi there,

You may of noticed from some of my other posts that I am a new Toledo TDI owner.

Another question for you..

I have noticed a whistle, mainly when cold when pulling away.

It sounds a bit like a distant police siren, but I am not sure if it is
just a belt, or if it is mabe an air leak or something.

Anyone got any idea's ??

Thanks

Erm, I think it may do..

Like I said, it sounds like a distant wailing police siren.

Is the Turbo whistling a normalthing, or does it usual indicate a problem ?

Thanks

You should hear it whistling happily, going almost ultrasonic as you boot it. Mine whistles away at lower revs as it has an UPSOLUTE remap which I think increases the turbo boost lower down - Im not an expert here!

But mine (Tdi 110 Leon and 130 Alhambra) both whistle as you accelerate so yours is almost certainly normal. Not everyone can hear this as it quite high pitched.

It shouldnt change pitch unless the engine revs or throttle position change though, so if it is wailing up and down it could be something else ?????

Thanks for the info..

I will try it later, but at least it is nice to know that others also do it.

I think it is fairly constant, but I will check.

Thanks
