Cheers Damo, I'm over the moon with it, especially for the price! Only got it as I'm commuting to Durham every day now. Found a shorter route last night though, 38 miles each way, sat nav try's to take me a 49.5 mile journey each way :/

Aye, I had bought the mk3 Golf because I was doing circa 38 miles each way too

14 mile a day rocks though, 2 weeks from a tank of fuel in a 310bhp Golf

Going to be sad tucking the cupra away for winter on the 27th haha

spotted a nice 335i in the carpark at work though, I'm hoping it's a company car of someones and I can wangle a go at some point! Quite fancy one, one day.

Had the mk3 serviced today, miles quieter and smoother now! Egr delete all fitted too and also my k&n panel filter came today too so I've fitted that!

It's quicker now after the service, by miles, spun up in 2nd in the wet haha can actually feel the turbo now, also chucked another can of injector cleaner in the last 3rd of the tank.

Vasstech had a look over it, aircon pipe has leaked at some point, even though it blows ice cold :| so hopefully that's been from sometime in the past and not now! One of the wishbone bushes is starting to show signs of wear and rear brake pipes are starting to corrode. Then it's just front pads need changing soonish! So it's a good buy really!

So not a bad buy then im currnetly trying to find a winter car my friends mum is selling her mint green civic ek9 shape for £250 and im quite tempted by it as ive got a garage to keep the mk2 in!

Yeh, hadn't driven it for a week until last night! Forgot how quick it was, proper rocketship haha the mk3 isn't too bad though! Just needs the cat chopping out and mapping and I'll be happy as a daily

Just cleaned the garage out today to fit the cupra in, very tight fit and my garage only locks from the inside have to climb in the window, through the car and out the boot lol good job there's nowt in it!

Glad to hear the seat hibernating from the salt lol mine is tucked away also with the vitara out to play! i emailed BFT about getting the ibiza mapped in march april but no word back. They still on the go ye? eaither that or got my eye on a white K1 need to save over winter lol

Yeh it got washed, coat of autoglym hd and put away last Saturday! Cleared the garage out some more so i an actually get in and out the door lol stuck with the mk3 tdi now, got it running well now though so its not too bad and more than pokey enough to keep up with everyday traffic, im looking forward to meeting the snow in it for some fun!

Yeh hes still operating, though he had a daughter not so long ago and has been having his rolling road etc installed, very busy man! He did my mates cooper s last weekend though and its very good. Just give him a ring, best way to get hold of him and if not just leave him another email! The current map hes developed for the stage 2 cupras is awesome!

Funny you should mention getting rid for another car, been made an offer on mine and he travelled 3.5 hours to come and view it/ me take him for a drive out in it. Been told by him he 100% wants it, after the drive out lol Just got to wait on the sale of his car i guess and see what happens.

If it goes ill be running the mk3 through the winter and saving as much as possible, then treat myself jan/feb to a sensible yet fast daily as my work commute has grown too

Think I'll be going Rwd Damo, ideally I'd like a 135i but will see how running two cars goes, it's looking more than probable that the mk3 will go after winter too and I'll just get the one car, probably a 123d or 330d. Swaying more towards the 123d currently, still like my small girly cars haha

You cant go diesel Scott you will miss your revs. mk2 20vt you know it makes sense or a mk2 vr6 got to be a bbm though!

Twin turbo, 270hp 400ftlbs from DPF delete and a map in the 123d. The Rwd will keep me happy haha can't do the 85 miles a day in the mk3 once the winter is over, I'll just go mad lol

Car all cleaned up and ready to attend the big SCN meet down Leeds this Sunday, will probably be its last outing from me, if it gets sold to the lad thats been to view it. Currently tucked away in the garage (mega tight squeeze!)
