yesterday
keeping them clean is a bloody nighty mare at the moment and am using a sugarsoap / water solution to cut through the grime, but have noticed i am getting a bit of bobbling under the paint now.

will this be me using the sugarsoap on them ? is there something else out there that is as good.

Sugarsoap is only a £1 so i cant argue with the price but dont want to be doing any damage.

Cheers

I use billberry wheel cleaner (available from I4Detailing)....probably the best out there IMO

I need to get some Billberry.

Using Surfex HD at the moment which works a treat!

My advice, take the wheels off (easier this way), give a good scrub, and clay ir required.

Then protect with something like Poorboys Wheel Sealant. Will make cleaning a doddle next time :D

Should only have to re-apply every few months (depending on mileage covered etc)

I wash mine with regular car soap, then treat with Meguiars Cleaner Wax - brings them up shiny white again and it's good for them just like on the rest of the car. That's my theory anyway!

Keep polishing them and it will make it so much easy to clean.

i had whites on my Corsa.. Take off jet wash from back songe down and wash as normal and then sealent as othere said.. Mustard!

like said above take them off and give them a thourough clean, make sure you use a sealant afterwards, maybe something like fkp1000 which has immense durability, ideal for insides of wheels etc and at 18 quid its a steal

I have white wheels and the best thing to use imo is good old wheel acid ;) Autosmart (great products all around g101 brilliant for fly splats in the summer) do a great acid wheel cleaner and it its very gentel but also very effective! orangemuffin if you have bubbling on your wheels then its prob not what your using its how well they were sprayed, unless they wernt sprayed then I apologise. Just means whoever sprayed them didnt key them up enough.

I use Jetseal 109 on the wheels i do(2 coats), gives a cracking finish and you dont need to use wheel cleaner to keep them clean i just use car shampoo and water.
