Right im thinking about a de-cat for stage 2 soon from blueflame. over the full cat version because of the price.

So my question being. How much of a pita is it to change it around every year for the mot can it be done easy enough with the car on jacks from under the car. Or is it just to tight under there to get at properly.??

I dont really want to have the hassle of snapping bolts and having to try and drill them out etc when i need to change it...

After peoples general opinion is it worth the £200 saving for the bit of effort once a year..?

I almost went for a BF decat but got put off by the changing ever year for the MOT. Took the car to BF and they had real trouble getting the downpipe nuts off. To save on hassle go for the 200 cell race cat. Best compromise imo

As already mentioned above by Cuprabaz and Cupramillo go for the 3" 200 cell cat made by Blueflame, I have one of these to go on when I change my turbo and to replace my 2.5" Milltek downpipe ;)

well im going to order a cat one now after much thought. and reading more threads about getting to the downpipe nuts.

Just got to have a haggle for the price now.. ;)

i have decat and it is a pain changing exhausts thats why i had flanges put on so easy acces to change cat . no need to touch dp

I thought about that but the original cat is smaller than the de-cat pipe isnt it..?

DE-cat pipe being 2.5" the standard cat is 2" or 2.25" isnt it..?

If thats possable than id do that because its really the de-cat i want to do.

i have a full 2.75 into 2.5 inch love it mate decat all the way mate;)

How did you get the standard cat to fit then..??

I understand flanges at both sides but did you use reducers for the pipework to make it air tight. you have any pictures..?
