I'm 21 but got my K1 when i was 20. Had a mk4 golf gti at 18 and the boost bug bit me bad lol I thought the K1 was going to cost me serious cash money's to insure but got them down with abit of haggling to £814 with 2 years no claims ! Makes me love it even more

I am 21, 0 years no claims... Leon FR TDI.

I should have been paying £850 a year, however I had a small bump a couple of years back (no one claimed, but the other **** told his insurance about it!), so it went up to £1200 a year.

Brett: I think most are with these companies that always appear the cheapest on compare websites. There is like 3 companies, but all use the same call centres and stuff. They are cheapest for insuring young drivers, but if you have any type of claim they will pull your arm off for it (like above).

Also are you putting 2 other drivers with 20+ years experience and no claims in the last 5 years? Literally brings it down by significant amounts. Assuming its because they think that you wont be driving it as much.
