why are my brake squeeking

when i brake my brakes squeek quite load i was jus wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they resolved it. its not my pads of discs as they are like new

like new or lipped on the edges ?

Have you or someone else replaced the pads recently? If so, what pads did you buy as if you bought aftermarket pads without anti-squeal shims fitted then you will have to live with this even if you use Copperease on the backs of the pads - well that is my experience anyway. Or do you have a small stone wedged in the caliper?

i started getting a slight squeek from mine and they're just over 1 yr old and still like new...but mine only happens when grinding to a halt and barely touching the brake

copper grease worked a treat on mine, hardly any squeaking at all now if any
