why does the cd option on my aura radio not work

i have the origional aura radio with 6 disc cd changer and recently when i pressed the cd option nothing happened it just stayed on the normal radio. cd option will not work now. would be glad of any help on how to fix this.

So Aura radio cassette and glovebox mounted changer?

Maybe a loose connection? My cd player works intermittantly as well, by that I mean 9 times out of 10 "CD ERROR" shows. Remove cd holder and put it back in and it works a couple of times

The head unit needs to be able to 'see' the CD changer, so I'd agree with Malc it's likely to be a loose connection. Check behind the head unit and the CD changer.

yes it is an aura cassette and glovebox mounted changer. ive checked behind the radio for loose connection but there was none. i will check now behind the cd changer.

when i press cd option nothing happens at all dosent say cd one like it use to.

Has the changer still got power? Does it still move discs about when you eject or insert the cartridge?

yes changer still has power

i cheked behind the cd changer and there are no loose connections
