Will 16" Audi alloys 6.5J x 16, ET42, 5x100 fit a MK1 Leon?

Hi,

Could someone please tell me if 16" Audi alloys (6.5J x 16, ET42, 5x100) fit a MK1 Leon SX TDI 110?

I've done some research into it, but can't find a definitive answer. The standard offset is ET38, and I've read that the steel wheels are ET42, but someone had problems putting an ET42 alloy on an ET38 Mk1 Skoda Fabia (some rubbing without a spacer), whereas someone else said anything from ET35-42 should fit ok.

I've also seen a size guide chart where the Leon Mk1 is listed as being compatible with 6.5J x 16, ET42 wheels?

Would I be ok with these alloys (I think probably I would, but just looking for confirmation, thanks), or would I need a 5mm spacer, for example?

I would imagine so cos there only 6.5j,most alloys that i've been looking at are ET35 have been 7-8j & fit ok.
I have the same as you a mk1 TDI.
