im after a new set of wheels for my car. was thinking about getting some 18" bbs ch's but then came across the porsche 997 turbo wheels. basically what i want to know is if the porshce wheels will poke out the arches to much or scrub etc. not to clued up on working out offset and all this stuff. anyway the wheels are:

18"x8J with 215/35 tyre and et 50
adaptors to fit the porsche wheels are FK 20mm

Are the adaptors to adjust the offset?
i think you will find the pcd is different from our leon wheels , so you might have to get wobble bolts to make them fit but i am not sure if i would trust these.

I looked into getting Porsche wheels for my car but the pcd put me off

Porsche wheels are usually 130 mm pcd and our leons are 112 , the other thing is the width of porsche wheels are different front to back usually wider at the back , by up to 11 inches Leon wheels are normally 7.5 or 8.

the adaptors change the pcd from 5x112 to 5x130 but the smallest spacing on the fk adaptors is 20mm.

the porsche wheels im looking at are 8J all round so not to wide. its just the offset of the wheels and the size of the spacing on the wheel adaptors im concerned about because i know you can change the offset of the wheel by using spacers but im not to sure how to work this out and what the offset should be on 8J wheels

u may have issues with scraping on the arches if u lower it.

et50 on the porker rims will then drop to et30 once the adaptors are fitted. i looked into getting these in 19inch myself, but there was no chance they would work with the leon arches when dropped.

if your running standard suspension then i'd say u would prob get away with it.
