Just been offered a set of weitec coilovers, for my cupra at a silly price, now here come the BUT, they came off a skoda Octavia VRS.

The question is will they fit?

Anybody know?

Imagine there the same platform and should fit no problems, i know the golf mk 4 fit the leon and so on, so yeah they should fit.

do I need to worry about spring rates etc with them being coilovers and adjustable?

Am I right in thinking I will need new top mounts? Anything else needed?

A guy on briskoda uses cupra r coilovers on his vrs, apparently they have an ever slightly firmer spring rate to account for the extra weight that the ko4 engine has.

The vrs has arb mounts on the strut like the cupra r too. However if you have a cupra you can use your standard setup.

Yes new top mounts/bearings and its worth changing the nuts and bolts associated. You may need new rear bump stops depending on the condition of yours.
