Will this clutch fit?

Hi guys, ive got a 02 mk4 1.9tdi (130) - im needing a new clutch and flywheel

Ive found one thats says it fits the following:


A3 TDI 130hp ASZ engine code

Golf Bora TDI 130/150 hp ARL ASZ

Sharran ANU AUY 90/115hp

Part numbers 038141032gx and 038141025rx


I know my ibiza's ASZ but will it fit because of my 6 gears?

All ASZ`s as far as I am aware run 6 speed
Same engine in SDkoda Fabia vRS too , 6 speed

Yea all ASZ engines are gearbox HDS, FSM or FJW. All 6 speed.

Ok guys, thanks for the help so far. Have a couple more questions though.

Am I right in thinking there are 4 parts to the clutch?

Clutch plate
Cover
Friction plate
Concentric cylinder



the first advert i found (as listed above) is:

An NEW Genuine VW Audi clutch pressure plate and friction plate 240mm

Now reading that its 2 parts, clutch plate and friction plate. correct?


So ive found another which is:

1 Brand New Sachs Clutch Kit

Kit Includes : Cover, Plate

So what does that mean? I'd assume its the clutch plate and cover, as he goes on to say about it being 240mm and 23 splines, does a pressure plate have splines?

Also, the sachs clutch (plates, cover) will they fit standard other parts, like if i mix up LUK and sachs.

So say i have a sachs clutch plate and cover and a LUK friction plate, will it work?

Sorry about my lack of knowledge lol! But i really cant afford standard LUK parts at £188 for clutch kit (3 pce) + £65 for cylinder + £211 for DMF (all + VAT!)

A clutch has the following main parts

1. Flywheel ( this has one friction surface on it )
2. Friction plate / clutch plate ( this has the friction material attached to it )
3. Pressure plate / cover plate ( this provides the spring pressure and the second friction surface)
4. Clutch release bearing

The 3 piece clutch from LUK has the following in it :

1. Clutch plate / Friction plate - (both are the same thing)
2. Pressure plate/cover plate ( This provides the spring pressure )
3. Clutch release bearing


Heavy duty clutches are usually a heavier pressure/cover plate and a better friction material on the clutch plate.
