Has anyone done a mk3 FR window regulator? Not sure the fr make a difference lol

I have a new one to replace, hopefully this week weather per itting, but I can't find any videos or guides to put them back together. I have found ones for older Alteca or others but not a leon etc

Have anyone any experience/wisdom they care to share?

I have a 5 door FR ST if that makes any difference for reference etc

Did one on my lads 3 door FR 2014

I would make sure you have fresh door clips - some of them will break when removing the door card.

Job is much easier with two people - one to hold the glass whilst the other has his/her hands inside the door detaching and attaching things.

Got new clips from here - way cheaper than from Seat

I started this on Thursday between rain showers....stripped the old one out easy and discovered a broken wire*
Took it out and dropped the glass (eventually) but noticed the new one was the wrong one...so I've had to patch my door back together and wedge the glass up until the proper part comes. I couldn't get one so had to speak to my local garage to order me one. Nightmare.

*make sure your window switch close by when the glass is ready to come out to take the tension off the wires, so you can push it down to pop the glass out the holder

You can undo the 4 bolts holding the motor to the door/mechanism.
This allows movement of the mech/glass for fitting.
Also - drop the glass 25mm from closed before starting the job.
