Windscreen Washer problem

Hi guys

Got a problem with my Leon's windscreen washers. On the way home yesterday I went to use it and nothing happened. I thought it had just run out of stuff as I have been using it a lot recently (though I had expected a warning light to tell me it was low).

When I got home I refilled it, tried it and still nothing happens. There's not so much as a noise coming from it, but the wipers themselves still wipe as normal. It has stopped working both ends of the car, so I don't think it's anything to do with the jets, and there is definitely washer fluid in the tank.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Doesn't seem to be - tricky to tell as the ground is wet underneath, but it doesn't seem to be losing washer fluid. Also I would expect it to make some kind of noise like it's trying, like the motor sound but it's just dead when you pull the stalk.

Guess I had better get on the blower to Seat.

It does sound like it's an electrical problem from what you're saying - the fact that neither end is working would seem to suggest the pump as the culprit rather than the switch.

I trust you're still under warranty?

It's under warranty and I have no idea what I'm looking at, so it's booked in for Tuesday at the dealers. I have a rattle I want sorting as well, so ideal opportunity.

Needs a clean as well. :p

Well more of a squeak to be fair - passenger front door panel squeaks under bumps and loud music. Comes and goes though, which is odd, but if you pull the panel something is quite obviously loose.

Had this with my Leon, because of the location of the reservoir it thoroughly freezes, so it completely freezes around the pump, therefore no noise, just a thought
