Hi guys, how are you all?

So i've had the FR for a couple of months now and its safe to say that i LOVE it :D

It's taken me the whole time to come to the conclusion that the back windscreen wiper isn't totally insane and that its suppose to go off when the car is put in reverse?

I've come to this conclusion after putting the front ones on full power yesterday when its hammered it down! Whilst waiting in traffic under a massive tree they slowed down..

Has my blonde brain finally cracked it?! lol If so can you turn the back windscreen sensor off but leave the front one on? Can't cope with the back one squeeking away when i'm reversing,

Ta Boys x

There is no sensor on the rear wiper, it's just activated when the fronts are on and you select reverse. Not sure if you can deactivate it, maybe by vagcom.

So the back ones are insane then?! haha

Oh noooo i was really atarting to prefer the other option

Wouldn't this be something that VAGCOM would sort? Alternatively you can follow my uber helpful guide on removing the rear wiper completely.

if its squeaking, i am assuming its not raining at the same time as it going off. I suggest you dont leave your fronts on auto/interval/you know the first one up. Do you have auto windscreen wipers?

This feature can be disabled using VAGCOM. It can be handy but sometimes annoying!

Oh when you put your wipers on the are speed sensitive on full wack they will slow down when you are stationary and IIRC above a certain speed

Tear drop courtesy wipe a) handy b) can be deactivated with VCDS.

Fronts, as already mentioned are probably governed by the rain sensor and vehicle speed.
