Wiper blades

I have a seat ibiza 07 reg and have just bought the halfords front wiper balde set over a month ago. These seem to be terrible and are leaving lines across the windcsreen. With the poor weather here now can anyone recommend a good place to get some good blades from or a make that are decent. Just the drivers side will do ???

Help please as it seems my £18 at halfords was a waste of cash !!

Just get them from the dealers - they're not expensive

i use bosch ones myself, theyre far better than the standard ones i had. only cost me around ?20

make sure your screen wash is at correct mixture, i've got bosch areo wipers seem to be ok on a single wiper but always get the patch in the middle where it miss's!!

if you have the older normal style (although looking at your year i think you have the flat types) then a genuine set of Bosch Aero are quite nice, if you do have the flat style wipers then again Bosch or i think the oem one are Valeo (i could be wrong, correct me here) and i heard from guys here the dealers can be competitive in price.

I myself got my set from ebay, made sure its from a repitable seller, and they are the real thing, cost = £20 all in.

I did get a Halfords wiper for my back wiper just to last me over winter or till i decide to get a VW aero type, and its very poor, out of the box i noticed the rubber is almost plastic like and my doubts were corect, after a week it just smears. This is with RainX washer additive mixture too.

I got new blades all round last week from the dealer, £23ish. Good as new now.

The newer, flate Aero blades are always (factory fit) Bosch and the older ones with the arches are always Valeo. So, as I have discovered, Halfords sell Bosch - identical to the ones you can buy at the dealer, or in my case, I bought VAG ones (Bosch) from ebay and it cost me more when you include postage than Halfords or the dealer - bum!
