All sorted......went in today for my primary user issues, they dealt with SEAT head office, had some CANBUS updates and some updates, includes some config files and now all enabled.
Then Seat is lying because they obviously state that wireless full link connectivity should be available across their modernized range except for Alhambra, and seat leon mk4 is one of those models (https://www.seat-mediacenter.com/sm...ess-Full-Link-across-its-renewed-line-up.html).Missing hardware on 2020 ( early 2021) cars ?
I've noticed that Wireless Android Auto wasn't mentionned on the user's manual until June 2021 version
I have exactly the same. But why do you think will it work with 5GHz?Then Seat is lying because they obviously state that wireless full link connectivity should be available across their modernized range except for Alhambra, and seat leon mk4 is one of those models (https://www.seat-mediacenter.com/sm...ess-Full-Link-across-its-renewed-line-up.html).
I am pretty sure the 5GHz Wi-fi needs to be enabled at a dealer or via OBD to make it work, the 2.4 GHz wi-fi doesn't seem to cut it even with 1896 software. No matter which phone model you have, the car states that android auto requires USB-connection meanwhile CarPlay shows option to use wlan.
And do you know how to enable it with OBD eleven? Then Seat is lying because they obviously state that wireless full link connectivity should be available across their modernized range except for Alhambra, and seat leon mk4 is one of those models (https://www.seat-mediacenter.com/sm...ess-Full-Link-across-its-renewed-line-up.html).

Yes, I have the 1896 too but there's no option to modify the wi-fi settings in any meaningful way and it's locked to 2.4GHz. I'm not yet sure how to enable the 5GHz but I might order the OBD plug and see what happens, couldn't really care less anymore so many pointless issues and broken promises with this car that I might just go and fiddle with the settings.I have exactly the same. I have 1896 since 1 day (see previous thread) and I am not able to connect to 5 GHZ (2.4GHZ does work).
Yeah it's pretty sad..Yes, I have the 1896 too but there's no option to modify the wi-fi settings in any meaningful way and it's locked to 2.4GHz. I kinda expected to get wireless android auto with the 1896 update as Seat already stated over a year ago that the new leon should be compatible with wireless full link (including android auto). And no, it's not country locked because golf mk8 has wireless AA working just fine with 1896 software.
How did you enable it in OBDeleven?I have a 2021 Arona that was built in Jan. I needed to use OBDeleven to get the AA wireless to work. The hardware was there, but it wasn't turned on in the system.
AdaptationHow did you enable it in OBDeleven?
Adaptation
Control unit: 5f
function_configuration_connectivity
google_android_auto - change from usb-only to On
Bluetooth_Headphones - change from Not available to available
Bluetooth_Audio - change from Not available to available
app_connect_over_wifi - change from No to Yes
Bluetooth _Phone - change from Not available to available
Restart unit and make sure wireless option is turned on in AA
This worked for me and on my friends 2022 Arona.
That's great to hear! I had to show this to my dealership as well. They had no idea that it could be done.I can confirm this works flawlessly and took no more than 5 minutes!
First I tried asking for the change from the dealership, even showing these settings, but they told me they are not able to make the change and I should do it myself (without it affecting warranty). As an alternative, I was told to wait for an update that might come.
