Update so far....................
Madmile has done 158mph but there is ice on the bottom corner and exit speed is only 50mph.
ll adds to the fun.
Reckon 160mph will be broken as the ice melts and dries this afternoon.

 Cool temps must be lovely for the turbo cars those RUF porkers will love it too as you say only issue is traction.....lets hope he breaks the 160mph mark.

I was watching a video of the vMax event a few years back a 4.5 TVR Cerbera in the dry and with little head wind was struggling to get to 165 so anywhere in that region is very respectable.

162 mph so far , that was 2 up , road tyres and a boot full of gear /laptop/camera /rucksack etc and full tank of juice.
Bottom corner still slippy so a bit more to come methinks.

I found from rolling start to standing start Vmax remained the same. odd as it was.

Well 162mph was the best from Madmile as weather played against him in the end(FOG and ICE).

162 is a good effort! It was fairly sunny round my way today so would have thought that ice and water would have burnt off at brunters, but I spose you need perfect conditions for traction with FWD. Wonder how the rest of the field faired with their RWD/4WD

Thanks everyone for your support, i knew 160+ was possible, as on my first run i did a 158mph and braked 200m before the timing beam. It was cold beyond belief and the car was howling, the only problem was carrying speed around the bottom corner, it was icy early on and i was being gentle, later on i tried it without traction control off but it wheel span from 80-130mph and only recored a 160mph run. With a stripped out car like Jool's car on slicks (R888's) on dry tarmac in cold weather with 1/4-1/2 tank of fuel 170mph is there for the taking.

Fastest run of the day was a Ruf tuned Gt2 Porsche which did 202mph i believe.
If you ever get the chance to attend this event do it, you wont regret it.

Also my brakes are proper fooked,

My passenger filmed my 162mph run. I should have it over the next few days. Lots of pics, and i have a good vid of a Ruf Porsche racing a v12 amg Merc, they were doing 160mph going down to the first bend LOL. I think they were 600-700bhp.
