Well done Gary [B)]

How did it feel at 162mph ?? must feel bloody slow at 70mph after going that fast!!

Anything that can genuinely go above 150mph is really shifting.

Seriously it was rock solid, a Tvr at the same speed is really noisy and they rattle etc. It was a breeze really. If it could have got to 180-185mph in the distance available (and stopped  ) i would have done it and not been worried.

Absolutely mint.

Stunning.

Thanks Craig and everyone. My first time and it was amazing. 163mph in the end. Could've done more if i wasnt such a p*ssy round the bottom corner.

Thanks also to Muncher (and Adam), Snuffy, Nic360, 911 habit for the passenger rides, and nastywej in particular for a 'just taking it easy this time' 180mph.

Great q-car action from the big audis and mercs, and most of all the seat ibiza. Legendary stuff. Hope to see you all again some time soon.

Mark

Some seriously quick cars there, but as you said you are beating alot of them 3/4 of the way down .
Aerodynamics play a big part in it,just look at the speed the c4 and c2 record .
Higher than the beeza but we know how much slower they are to the beeza from 60-150.(proven on private roads)

Well done

Well done chap, :funk: , you must be really chuffed with that, and im sure alot of other people were surprised by it aswell. How did the breaks hold out? were the glowing red?

The brakes were just pushed to hard, the speedo was showing around the 170mph mark if it was there, it was well off the clock. Its the worst part, my passenger (Stu) said brake 162mph then we both were concerned about the noise coming from the brakes. I did another run of 160mph and called it a day after that run 160mph had been surpassed and i was in one piece so it was time to be sensible.

I guess all the Big turbo guys will be doing there best to get to Brunters now with one club/magazine or another, its good for all of us moving steps in a forward direction moving the results higher and higher.

Maybe PVW might get summit sorted or one of the tuners for a vag v-max. It would be good for the brand and fun for the guys involved.

I even got a mention on the Audi forum, ohhh the price of fame...............not.. :p

No one was openly snotty, other than one comment i got which was that "They exspected a Seat Ibiza to have neons, spoilers and to be chavvy which never really bothered me as the majority were very helpfull. There aint very many pics of the Ibiza kicking about as you will prob have noticed, but that does not bother me either. Lets face it most people go to look at Supercars. There were positive comments which counter act the odd negative so across the board it was all okay really. Someone did ask if i bought a 1.6 seat ibiza and dropped a 1.8T engine in as they thought no Ibiza's had an engine bigger than a 1.6. I would suggest going back with a twin turbo setup vf34 and Pe1820f alter the gearing and get up there into the 180+ region.
