wont start

hi need help got a seat ibiza timeing chain fine. spark plugs. fine got fuel. but will not fire its turning over but wont go. but sparks smelled of petrol got the lid up left it for a time thinking it should evaporate

Crank sensor? Fairly common, check if you're getting spark when cranking/error codes.
