ah ur the c%^t who out bid me lol

Ha Ha! When i saw it i did actually wonder if you were maybe bidding/watching it aswell, but i sorry, i just had to have it!

I saw this on the bay as well. Was going to bid when it was £15 and came back, saw it was £50 odd and thought bugger that for a second hand exhaust!!

Ah well. I'm sure its all good! I'm still liking my diesel type exhaust though, especially if it wasn't blowing!!

It was at £15 until 9pm on monday night, by tuesday nite it was up to £45 but i had to have it.

Yep i know £50 odd quid maybe alittle much but they are really rare and i just had to have it!! I wasnt going to go above 50 quid but oh well.

Even tho it cost me 50 quid it is still going to be cheaper even after fitting than the backbox i was looking at, it was £117 just for the back box. And its definetely cheaper than going for a custom system.

do any other exhausts fit?
eg: mk2 golf 2.0 8v
mk3 golf 2.0 8v

Would they just require adaptor sleeves?

Rite got my exhaust :funk:

Im looking at it and im wondering about the hangers.

Will the hangers on the exhaust be in the same places on my car? (1.4 8v)

Also would it be worth changing the exhaust mounts? What size are the mounts i will need??

Im thinking about getting uprate powerflex mounts.

mmm I want one of these now. Not so keen on a really noisey exhaust, I just fancy a twin exit back box.....

Now im on the look out!

have u fitted this yet?? If so how did it fit?

Got it fitted today and it is a good fit!! I love the noise of it aswell!! :D Not to chavvy, just a nice deep burble!! Im absolutely loving it!! :funk:

The garage that fitted it didnt even cut the rear bumper, it is sitting nicely under the bumper. The mount on the backbox is cable-tied to the hanger because the bumper hasnt been cut. But using the cable ties means it isnt moving/vibrating and hitting off the bumper.

As for connecting the centre box to the cat,the garage welded a piece of pipe the same diameter as the rest of the system to the centre box then used a reducer at the cat. Which means the pipe diameter from cat back is bigger than standard on the 1.4 and i think it is alittle more responsive. Could this be right??

cost me 20 pounds to have fitted... would ge nice to see a final pic tho

Pics will be posted tomorrow after car has been washed tomorrow.

I will also post a pic of how it is mounted on the back hanger!

This is how it is mounted onto the rear hanger as the exhaust is under the bumper.

I love the sound of it. It has a nice deep burble when idle and when you get towards the redline it gets deeper. It isnt like these universal chav exhaust which are just loud!!

The throttle response seems alot better. Would this actually be possible??

It now has the same diameter piping from the cat-back as the section between the centre box and cat has been replaced with a piece the same diameter as the piping of the cupra system.
