so after 2 new ball joints from seat im convinced that its the hub that is worn as when both balljoints was fastened up there was play andthe joint was able to move in the hub.

what i need to know is what other cars share the same front hubs as a leon cupra so i can try and pick one up from a local scrap yard, ive looked on ebay and didnt find any LC hubs.

p.s , it's the N/S im after

Instead I'd searching lc hubs search fleabay for Leon cupra breaking then send message to people

I wouldn't go changing the hub on what sounds like guess work. They are not a 20min job, and without the right tools can be a ball ache. I suggest you fully investigate and find out exactly what is worn.

Also, i am guessing thaat what you mean is that the wheel bearing is worn. Generally if you wheel bearing is so bad that you can actually see the play, then a)you would hear it b) you would throw up an ABS fault.
Second hand wheel bearings cannot be used, ,not just for ethical reasons, but because 9/10 you destroy them taking them off.
 
no not wheel bearing, if i jack the car up and use a bar i can see lots of play with the balljoint been fully done up, like the joint has been moving around in the hub and now wont allow a correct fittment.

oh ye whats been changed

new
suspension set up
JOM drop links
2 x balljoints from seat
new topmounts and bearing ( powerflex )
both suspension arm bushes ( powerflex )

i checked the ARB yesterday when changing the balljoint and the bushes was fine and the ARB isnt broke any were either.

ive also managed to get a garage to get it in the air for freein a garage and he also said the balljoint was totaly kanckered , it was when i told him its a brand new balljoint he then also suggested a worn hub

OHHHHHH i understand. Like the tapered hole that the balljoint goes into has worn?
I would hae thought that seat should have noticed this whist fitting te joint. Pretty shoddy work if they didn't.

Same hub assembly as a Mk4 golf, bora, etc
