There currently isn't a suitable engine to make a diesel leon cupra. That's why there isn't one. But there is to make an ibiza cupra diesel so there should be.

iirc they are running a TDI in the BTCC, so I'm not sure sure your correct :D

If they dont do a TDI Cupra then I will be buying a new car from another manufacturer (FACT!)

You cant compare a BTCC engine to a production car. TDI cupra will appear.

I ordered my Mk4 TDI Sport in late 2002 from a dealer in Holland, having never seen one in the flesh, let alone driven one :)

I'd read loads of good reviews, it was the ONLY car that offered 130+bhp, 50+mpg, and gp7 insurance - the combination was just what I needed for my lengthy cross-country commute, and it looked good. I was driving a Rover 220SDI at the time, so it could only be an improvement.

I wouldn't consider ordering a car without seeing/driving it until I'd at least read a wide variety of favourable reviews from different sources.

There's no engine in the vag group that goes into the mass production road cars with a suitable amount of power and displacement (ie about 200-210bhp and 2 litres) to make a leon cupra tdi. Not until the twin turbo 2litre that we've heard about makes it into production.

Although it would be interesting to see a btcc engine in a road car it's not going to happen....

Well Keeping to this same theme... It seems that VAG may be coming through shortly take a look at the "Audi A3 Clubsport TDI" it appears it will have a 220-225hp version of the 2.0CR-TDI that till recently has only been available in 140-170hp versions!:p

Im doing road tests in the New 5dr during our launch weekend 18th-20th July call me on 01415515150 ask for Jason and book a slot.

the 5dr will be launched this month then every 6 months after SEAT will release a new spec of the ibiza, i know the 3dr sport coupe will be out in January but have no idea what will come next.

I have already driven the car and have to admit i am not to impressed with the older models but SEAT have really paid attention to detail with the new model. Not only is the car completely different to drive (in a good way) it is pleasure to just sit in. probably has something to do with the designer, after all he did design the lamborghini mucielago.

I ordered mine here in bulgaria without test drive. These cars are not very popular and most likely the mk5 cupra will be unavailable too,so yes i will order it

I did the same in Sofia...went to the dealer and said "Hi,I wanna buy this beauty"...Well, I have seen it about 20 times in the show room, but didn't go for a test drive...I was so impressed of the design so I was gonna order it anyway if it has a Trabant engine :D
