Bought mine just as it hit 120k. Had cambelt and pump at 70k, full service history every 10k, owner let a ''official'' seat dealer look after it, but i dont feel like they did that much of a good job. cheap oil, many of the ''maintenance'' jobs, they just skipped over, and didnt even do on the services.

Gonna look after it myself with basic maintanance stuff from now on payed 2.8k for it. dont fancy paying 170 quid for a oil/filters and a bit of grease.

I dont plan on selling it on, will just run it till it dies, and play with it till it does.

has a few rattles atm, an old bush i think on its way out and abit of road rash. after some reading around, i wasnt prepared to pay over 3k for a 54 plate, and i did expect to get something with atleast 100k for that price.

Tbh i'm more worried when a diesel has low mileage, after all the main reason for owning 1 is when you do high miles & if you don't theres no point owning 1,low mileage 1's usually suffer from sticky turbo's etc

A year ago pd150's were going for 4.5k-5k now you can pick them up for 2.5k upward, they have come right down in price

I say this to the missus all the time when looking at diesels if its 8 years old I wouldnt buy under 100k cause its prob spent its life popping places! Rather than some good runs down the motorway.

Found a 04 with 114 k for 2600 might go for that
