Wrapping my fr - matte black opinions?

Hello guys!

I might be comin across a bit of money soon..im lookin at wrappin my leon matte black and gettin the chrome grill and wingmirrors carbon wrapped

Opinions guys ??? I dont kno if any ones got any pics. Would apreciate it alot!!!!

i drove SEAT UK's Matt Black LCR around for a while and .............. it had one big problem, the Vinyl had eroded (if thats how you spell it) where petrol had been spilt on the bodywork when filling ie. around the fuel cap so....dont spill fuel on it

Apart from that it was kool and got alot of looks

personally i think the Leon looks superb in matte black... the LCR Andrew mentioned looked awesome imo.

i dont know of anywhere in the Birmingham area that i could recommend though (no experience at all). there are a couple of the pro detailers on DW which are doing very good vinyl wrapping but not in our area.

The ibiza looks nice ,i can just imagine a Matte Black Fr with btcc kit ! uffff!! the road presense is going to be immense!!!!!!

Spoiler, splitter , grill and wing mirrors Carbon Wrapped set a little contrast...you know how it is

Don't do it! Matte black cars look cool in movies but I personally think it looks rubbish on normal everyday cars! I wouldn't waste the money mate!

Good point , i could put the extra 1600 and just get a White Fr ..As what i'v always wanted
im sure there must be someone on this forum who can show a black fr Wrapped in Matte black in Photoshop or any other picture editing software !!

Lol i thought you wanted a red fr? Or is white your most sought after colour?

I like the idea of it, however i couldnt bare to get rid of my candy white! i feel she gets more attention than matte black, people who don't understand it's matt black just think it'll look wrong! haha

I'd prefer white ideally , but the price of white frs are out of budget. so red is the next best option!!

It's completely up to you at the end of the day

Personally if i was coming into some "free" money so spend on whatever i want, if it was going on the car i'd be more inclined to make it faster / handle better.... If not already K1 / BTCC kitted then maybe do that instead of change the colour.....

It's all up to you though so feel free to do what you want, just think long and hard about getting all the main bits you want done first that's all i'd say.

the black looks decent in pics but not too good in real life IMO.

When its wet and dries out, you get dirty water stains on the panels etc.. bit like having a painted black car and not being able to polish it.


Matt white or silver would be quite tidy.
