Wrong Klarius exhaust fitted?

Hi guys

I recently had a new exhaust system fitted by a garage onto my Mk 1 Leon TDI FR 150 that was supplied by Euro Car Parts. However immediately after it was fitted the turbo sounds terrible, in that it whines really bad under boost, which it did not do before.

The exhaust system fitted was made by Klarius. The centre pipe (part no. 701443531) and a rear silencer (part no. 705444101)

I am thinking that somehow the Klarius exhaust is a smaller diameter and is restricting the air flow out of the exhaust, and I want it replaced ASAP. However, I have a problem in that I cannot prove that the wrong exhaust was fitted.

I have checked the Klarius website, and the one that was fitted is what they recommend for my PD 150.

The Klarius website states that the SEAT Leon TDI FR 150 OEM equivalent for the rear silencer is 1j6253609s

Is this the same part number that comes as standard on the mk1 Leon TDI FR 150, and how do I get the garage to replace it for an OEM equivalent?

I've just looked for the oe part number and I'm pretty sure that's not right.
For start it's coming up with downswept tail pipes, the FR TDI should have twin straight chrome tipped tail pipes.

There is no pattern part exhaust for your model. They fit the 90 and 110hp diesels only, hence the small downward facing tailpipes.

OEM is about £500, which is why everybody gets Milltek or Cobra catbacks fitted now.

I don't get why these standard straight twin pipes aren't available anywhere!
