As HUrdy has pointed out(and me previously) is that it will just wear the brakes more as they will be used more but only if your driving like your on fire.
Hurdy you should charge us a pound and you would of made up more than any petrol used coming to meet us lol!
I could do it this weekend, in sheff or leeds. In Leeds I usually use the lower showcase cinema car park if there is a little meet of a few cars I doubt plod will mind, when there is 20+ though with revving engines ect they get a bit miffed.

I changed this from the stock 0 setting to 2 and this has made the brake pedal more responsive to smaller inputs. Feels more positive in use, especially under enthusiastic motoring.
I'd be suprised if changing brake assist made any difference in normal driving. Surely brake assist is designed to increase braking to maximum during an emergency stop isn't it?
XDS is the electronic differential that VAG have designed to ry and emulate the effect that a mechanical limited slip differential has.
The Fabia is set on setting Zero as standard. Mine is now on Setting Two and WHAT A DIFFERENCE
