also there is a way to deactivate the ESP fully ...

Ingnition on > Hazard warning lights on (not sure if thats the right name) > press the accelerator pedal 5 times rapidly .

ESP light comes on after . have fun

Is this permanent? I did this and now I want to re-enable it because I have the feeling it is permanently disabled now :) Although, for me the ESP light doesn't come on though after trying this. I do see some other lights come on for 3 seconds orso after doing the above procedure (ABS, TCS/ESP and that tire pressure thing)

In VCDS Select Control Module, go to 03 ABS Brakes, then 10 Adaptation. Then Channel 36 XDS and change the setting- 0,1, 2

Excuse my ignorance but what is VCDS? Does vag com do the same thing?

So far as I can tell the xds does nothing in my car...

Also - reading the link to that golf forum the Xds doesn't work above 25mph... Is that correct?

Is it just me then that sees no real difference in changing this? Done this today and cant really feel much difference. Will have a play on different settings back and forth?
