nooooo kezz!! to turn it off you have to take the panel off the inside of the boot lid, undo the nuts and then undo the big nut on the wiper motor and then take it off. job done and its turned off permantly lol! oh , and dont forget to get your grommit to plug the hole up!!

Apparently not hard:
