After nearly two months of problem free driving i thought i was on to winner.
But once again the engine management light has came on again! Wouldn't have thought it was the maf as i had a new one a few of months back.
Anyone know what it could be?

(Looks like another trip to Seat:( )

Dont seem to be any symptons but to be honest it came on, on the way home from work so i havent driven it much since it came on.

Im going to have to find time to take it to a dealer.

After thinking about it. It seemed to come on after braking hard. I know that my brakes are wearing a bit. This may sounds stupid but would there be a sensor that would tell the car this? (This may show my lack of ability when it comes to the machanics of a car)

yea there is a LOW BRAKE PAD warning not sure about disks, but i wouldnt have thought it would be the engine management light?!? as in the manual it sounds likes it would be the top middle light which is to do with low braking fluid levels, low pads etc.

You wanted someone to diagnose your fault by saying "my engine light has come on" ?

Thanks for that thats extremely helpful.
All i wanted was for people to sugest possible problems that they may have had or know about. Not a smart arse comment.

Is that a serious reply?

Extremely helpful reply? And i take it you think your original post is the most helpful in helping people determine how to diagnose an engine light.

For the wonder that is the seat ibiza that light could mean anything. If you dont have vag com or dont know anyone with it just disconnect your batter for a bit to clear the light and see if comes back straight away, if it does something is ****ed.
