I spotted that my N75 is "bouncy", it practically sits at 100%, but goes;

100,100,96,100,99,100,100,94,100 etc. I'll post some logs later.

I bunged a new N75 on it the other day (didn't do a TBA or whip the battery off though) and checked the pipes as best I could - charge pipe to N75 visually, N75 to wastegate seems to hold a vacuum okay (technical way of saying I sucked on it and put my tongue over the end and it didn't release :D )

The MAF and boost seem to be just as bouncy, but I can't feel it though.

Any ideas?

Hmmm, just tried a TBA and it's come up with "ERROR" rather than "ADP RUN", battery's off at the minute.

Put the battery back on to check outside temp, 8.5ºC, coolant temp is -1ºC, IAT 12ºC

Bonnet up TBA Ran - beeeeeeep click.

After reconnecting the battery and found a "17987 Throttle Actuator (J338): Adaption Not Started P1579" - I can't clear this code and I can't run a TBA, still getting "ERROR".

??
:(

All the clues were there :doh: Warmed the car up for a couple of minutes until the coolant temp was 10ºC, cleared the fault code and ran the TBA :D

I did clean the TB first though :shrug:

I was ignoring the coolant temp and looking at the outside temp thinking - "must be warm enough now..."

I've only ever done it when the car's been cold - i.e. overnight. Kind of got stuck in my ways :redface:

Anyway, bouncy N75 seems to have gone - only come back from swimming with the kids and it seems better.

Still a bit bouncy at the top end, or am I worrying about nothing?

Really? Could you tell me what the difference is, without me bothering to search first? :D

I was comparing that log with a log I have from almost exactly one year ago - trouble is can't remember if the car was running well then or not.

My advice to everyone would be keep all your old logs (even the rubbish ones) but keep them named or filed in such a way you can remember what they were. Again, perhaps a bit of a noob revelation, but only once you've tried to look back and compare some old logs...
