About the hood of the car...

How do you close the hood on your Leon ?
Do you slam it down hard or do you lay it gently and then push down with your hand ?

just wondering..

i have the bonnet seal mod and i think if you keep slamming it down you may bend it as its quite a tight fit

always lower it to the catch then shove

I've been slamming for nearly a month now... Switched to shoving though

Why slam?

lower to a foot then just drop!

drop it from 10 inches or so.

i have pushed it shut before, (firmly) and had it pop up afterwards.

I lower it to about 6 inches and then drop.....so I guess neither slam nor push!!!!

didnt someone somewhere say, by slaming it, it damages the seals on the headlights, or did i dream that !

I always lower it to the top of the catch then push it down, so opted for the "shut it gently" method

I just let it fall the last half a foot or so, sounds horrible but doesn't damage it, worked fine with my old polo gti too

Lower to quarter / half open and drop (and grimace - I hate the sound it makes, like nails on a blackboard to me....)
