Do you have faith in R/Road figures?

I had my LCR on the rollers at Awesome earlier this year, around March I think. It was only about 4 months old at the time, with no mods at all.

Out of the 3 runs, max clutch power was 226.35 and max torque was 216.36lbs/ft. Not sure about the wheel power, 209.27 seems a bit high to me, but that's what the chart says...

All three runs gave pertty much the same figures.

I have absolutely no faith in them at all. All good fun on the day though and its all relative if many people are going on the same rollers.

Virdi - As promised, I have my wheel power figure, which is 174.7 hp.

So 174.7 @ the wheels and 209.5 @ the fly.

How does that sound, compared to the power a standard LCR 210 should produce?

Your figures are spot on mate. The LCR loses around 35bhp through the transmission and your results further go to prove this

Cheers Mitchy! Good to know the car is behaving itself and also good to know JKM's rollers are accurate! :D

My figures summarised

Before Revo
Bhp fly: 190.1 bhp
Bhp wheels : 141.6 bhp (43.9 bhp loss, so I think the 190 is too high)
Torque : 188.2 ft lb

After Revo
Bhp fly: 206.2 bhp
Bhp wheels : 173.6 bhp (29 bhp loss)
Torque : 216.7 ft lb

finally found my graph from powerstation here http://www.fordmondeo.org/threadattach/1153321823-L2KVR.pdf i've read on here somewhere about powerstation having a different sort of rollers that make tuning cars easier for them, a sort of twin roller set up which means to get a proper at the wheels figure you have to divide the drag bhp by two then add it to the at the wheels bhp. if that is the case then instead of 161.3bhp @ the wheels it should be 198.7bhp @ the wheels. does this sound about right? to me losing 74.9bhp through drag/transmission loss sounds like a lot!

does anybody know how much 297.9Nm torque is in lb ft?

Yes on a standard FWD car losses should be around 15-17%.

In our case around 30-35bhp losses which on numerous occasions have been proved:)

I have no idea how they've managed to calculate your fly figure by adding 75bhp on top:confused:

Maybe to keep the customer happy:shrug: It does happen:blink:

To me your wheel figures recorded shows your car is sick or it has been incorrectly loaded/run on their rollers:shrug: Was 5th gear used? Was it as short a run as possible, was air being blown into both coolers?

sounds about right then, 236.4bhp @ the flywheel & 198.7bhp @ the wheels.

have a look at this and tell me what you think
http://s92.photobucket.com/albums/l38/karlosR/?action=view&current=L2KVR.flv they had that tube blowing air into the offside cooler but a MASSIVE fan in front of the car taking care of the radiator and nearside cooler. a bloke i was talking to that morning ran his mustang on there and he said that their rollers were bang on for flyheel figures but due to the set up @ powerstation the power @ the wheels may be a bit off. the lads that ran it said that it was good, especially for a standard car.

For reference, I've also been on JKM rollers recently.

Although I was "dissapointed" at my results, I eventually came around to the truth in the fact that my previous RR results were utter cr@p and that the figures from JKM's rollers were almost spot on.

I've now seen several cars on the RR's there, and the standard ones are virtually spot on the book figures, and the remapped one's aren't far off either!

My RR results from JKM were 218bhp and 240lbft. Thats Revo Stage2 on an LC (180 standard).

I was comparing them to results from *ahem* Regal Autosports RR day last year, where i apparently got 232bhp and 236lbft. After thinking about it, and understanding it all, the figures are nothing but pub talk, and the Regal figures were a bit higher than they should be.

Revo quote Stage 1 at 207bhp. Stage 2 is a 10-15% increase on stage1, assuming all mods are present. 10% of 180 is 18, so 207+18 = 225. So 218 not far off at all.

Anyway, figures mean nothing - its how u use them that count - and as mentioned Pod etc can really show who's boss ;)

Much better fans on that vid than at PTS Luton. I'm not sure that they know where the intercooler duct is on a LC they tend to point it at the Seat badge.

I'll have plenty of pics and results from the RR day on saturday if you're interested - ranging from standard 1.4 ibiza's through to revo stage 2 LCR's.... so should get a good range of results to compare against.

Pabs, it would be fantastic if you could compile a list of the results after the day, so we can see what cars with what mod's made what power :)
