changing interior

i am looking to change my interior do u disconnect the battery before you take the seat out as i dont want to set the airbags off or the seat tensioner can somebody help please

as long as the igniton is off it wont set off a fault code but if you want to be safe disconnect the bat to be on the safe side

thanks got a fr interior out of a 2006 car don't know if i want to put it in or not as it is only a 1.2 or just keep it till i get a cupra

i also got the back bumper as well and may have the side skirts as well just need a front bumper then i got the full kit i cant afford a FR at the momment doing a extention at moment and need to pay for that, seen these parts and couldent say no really misses is going nuts but can't say no to a bargin but now i got to get her to say yes to having a cupra as this 1.2 is doing my head in i need the power

I get i quite a lot of parts had a half leather trim for a mk 3 last month but was no good as i had a mk before got the clocks climate control cd player my misses goes crazy as i keep buying stuff all the time but its a crime not to buy it i think i got a problem or something thats what the misses says anyway LOL!!!

Going back to the battery issue - I think the safest route is to disconnect the battery, and wait 10-15 minutes so any backups have disharged.

One thing you DO NOT want is an airbag going off in your face...just not worth the risk IMHO.

yep, isnt there a way of unpluging the air bags thought I could remember sombody saying something about this might be thinking of another car.

they unplug under neath the seat but best to be safe as you dont want it going off when you unplug it or anything

thanks never had to take out to a seat before all the trim i have and get is allready out when i go and collect it i have just unplugged them in but that was a vectra and we all know the quality of them LOL!!

The car is going so i got a pile of FR bits to get rid of now some on ebay now rear lights item number 170067648626 will be putting the trim on there in a couple of weeks when i got time to list more

The FR doesn't have side skirts!?!

Hi, i disconnected my passenger airbag when wiring up my ICE and now have an airbag warning light on my dash.

Is there any way to reset this by yourself or do i need to take it to a dealer and ask nicely?
