Hey, can anyone help on how the hell the to get the aerial off a mk 4 ibiza??? I can get it totally screwed off but something is still keeping it on.

Do Seat superglue the feckin things in???[:@]

I want to do this too, might put honda aerial on.

I did a search and apparently you have to give it a bloody good tug and hold the base at the same time, it should pop off.

I got a chrome sabre aerial. Looked nice in the box. but think it mite look tacky on the car. But theres only one way to find out. lol Sure if i fk gettin the aerial off u'll see a thread askin how to get a dent out of my roof. lol

its the first time thats hard after that it pretty easy to get off hold the bASE AND JUST PULL LOL

no its like a mushroom end so clips in so its proves ita an anti theft one lol

when I removed mine and did the civic stubby mod mine was well stiff

so I unscrewed it as far as it would go and prised it off with a pair of long nosed plyers ,
just slip them into the area with the exposed thread and leaver it up

Heres my method:

Unscrew the aerial as far as it goes
Place aerail in horizontal position
Place a thick cloth around the aerial base to protect the roof
Put an open ended spanner between the aerial and the aerial base unit and use the spanner as a leverage - the aerial will just pop out

no need to go to all that trouble just unscrewsuport the base and give it a short sharp tug!

Sorry are talking about removing the aerial:doh:

cant get any signal on any of the aftermarket bee sting style aerials waste of time if you want a good radio reception. unscrewand tug it to get it off.
