Has anyone got an induction kit on their tdi sport? What's the general concensus on these? Are they pointless?

I've already got a green air filter on my standard airbox with the cupra air intake.

inductions kits on the TDi's don't normally offer any good gains as all the air they suck in is hot air from the engine bay, best option is green filter and pd 160 intake iirc,
if you want more whitsle get a mufle-rectoplasm thingy:whistle: i can hear loads more turbo spool now with that done :)

PD TDI car use forced induction airfilters that suck air in directly from the outside.
A geen panel filter and PD 160 air in take is good enough for a remapped car as diesels don`t suffer with air problems like petrol cars can do. If your going the hybrid turbo route or want the best airfilter then get a CDA airfilter or the cheaper dynatwist. The viper kit is very exspensive for what it is and you can buy a CDA for the same money.

green cotton filter is about £40 and pd160 intake comes in 2 bits and is about £40 for both of the parts needed

do a search and you will find loads of info all about both and how to fit etc

;)

edit.... **** thingy is when you remove the back box of the zorst and just have the tailpipe left

it seems to sound good and cost a fraction of a custom zorst system

again do a search under mufflerectomy or somthing like that
only works in tdi's though as petrols need the back pressure AFAIK

I found the threads for ya

yeah sorry i did mean "mufflerectomy", :D

you have basically the same engine as me and can say it is quite effective, but don't take the cat out the system just the back box will do, otherwise you could have it a bit too loud, and although the exhuast note it a bit deeper/louder i can heard the turbo spool alot better than before

I have a spare dynatwist if your up for swapping with your green filter and pd160 intake and pipe

That's super! I'd love to hear it at speed...I imagine it to be like an impreza sort of roar?? Where did you source it from?

Any old semi-specialist exhaust place will do it mate, just have a quick flick in your yellow pages. Just make sure they have the tailpipes etc.

yeah i read somewhere else that an oval would be louder but i wanted it looking standard with standard FR kit, where as yours has got the full CUPRA kit iirc so it looks right for the bumpers :)
