Cupra orders - paid list or got some £ off?

My dealer in Cheltenham told us he was only getting 7 for the year and the dealer in Reading is only getting 4, but he did say that if they had orders for anymore Seat would supply the order but it would be a case of waiting. Apparently dealerships are getting so many in relation to their yearly sale figures well that what the dealer said!!!!

Most places like Carselect etc get them from a dealer anyway!
I am hopefully using Freeway (RBOS) and have been quoted a discount of around £1k.
Can anyone remember when LCRs were limited numbers........

Well rang LloydsTSB Car select and they can do the cupra with Convenience, winter pack, bluetooth, ipod connection and tom tom dockin all in for £19184 and can confirm a delivery date of the 16th May..Whereas my seat dealer wants £20415 and as yet not confirmed delivery as reckons car not due for build till mid april!!! Ive paid a deposit wats the chances of me getting it back I wonder if I want to order it through Lloyds????

I will hear tomorrow the expected delivery date.

I rang Car select today and explained that id pre order through a dealer but they can do it cheaper and asked them whether they cna get hold of the cupra and if so when..She rang their dealer with our spec and he confirmed delivery for the 16th..Just waiting to see what they will give part ex for our 2 leons then will decide tomorrow. Think i will jsut say to the seat dealer that we've changed our mind and can we have our deposit back

Correct - it is FOC and was standard on my LCR.

So unless you ask for it your unable to deactivate if you want to?

If so seems a little odd they didnt do it as standard if its a no cost option.

It is bizarre - probably due to some obscure EU law!!

We bought our Ibiza through LLoydsTSB had no problem at all. They kept us upto date, The dealer contacted us to confirm details and arrange delivery.
The main dealer from down south delivered the car to our door and did all the paper work and left. Great service and could not ask for more. Was very pleased with them and best car buying experience we have ever had.

Any down side?
The numberplates had LLoyds leasing on the bottom of them. but thats was the only downside.

You are saving a fair bit by switching to Car Select. Depends on the size of the deposit you left, if it was quite small and you won't get it back, it may still be worth switching.....

Ordered Yellow as a shrine to our lovely yellow FR..

But today bit cheesed off with Carselect though as even though they've knocked £1200 of the Cupra for us they have offered cr*p trade in prices which actually makes it more expensive going through them than our Seat dealer

£9600 for the yellow 05 TDI FR
£11,500 for the red Reference Sport Special edition
This is £2000 less than out Seat dealer!!!!!

Not sure if we should try and sell them private but its the hassle that goes with it

But you have to consider you will have at least a couple of months to sell privately whilst you wait for the Cupra. This is what I intend doing for the same reason.

Think we are gonna stick with the dealer..now been told by 2 different suppliers that there is now way lloyds can get a cupra of that spec in MAY...Wouldnt want to be messed around on delivery towards May

broadspeed and car select wont get any cupras for a while,i am picking mine up on thursday(i hope)got no discount,got a good px price, fuel and mats,life shine.....
