I couldn't decide what colour to go for either... bright silver, gunmetal, anthracite, stick with standard...

In the end, I had them done using Civic Type R paint... I'm happy with the result too!

Also, if they get chipped or kirbed there's no need for colour matching (or having to get the whole set re-done so they match) as it's standard CTR paint! :)

Here they are on the car...

Agreed, very nice Jonny! Doesn't look too different to the grey LCR wheels to the untrained eye but gives a great overall finish.

BEANITOS and THE PROPHET....im in Bristol too....theres a place that I know does it for around £45 a wheel....good work too from what ive seen. Want me to find the details?

Yes that would be good, thanks mate

if you could m8 that'd be great.

Stil trying to work out what colour to get mine done (red LCR) can't decide what'd look better anthracite above or a bright silver.

Prophet - Andy @ Wheelstyles advised he'd need the wheels for 4 to 5 days to do the work, £65 per wheel inc VAT

This doesn't really work for me as I don't have anywhere to keep the car for that long without any wheels on it! Unless they have a secure place they can keep it I don't think i can make it happen.

For the peeps in Bristol....try...

DMD Wheel Refurb 07818 228519

Dont know the chap personally, but his work looks very good! :D

I had a quote from LapTab a while ago:

"The following quotation is for refurbishing your 4 alloys 1 colour all over delivered to us off the Vehicle & tyres.

18 inch Colour:Flash/Black/Smoked Chrome £65.00 per wheel + VAT

Booked in within 2 days £60 per wheel + Vat"

Standard colour may be a bit cheaper...

They have an offer on at the moment too, 25% off :)

doing searches, they lap-tab seem to come up all over, but bristol to midlands is a bit far to drop off and pick up wheels

would be good if they had the above price included of courier ;-)
i'll do a search on dmd
but i know there's protyre who use pristine

Hi guys im acutally in the process of spraying my wheels in Honda Civic Type R colour and so far the test wheel looks gud as the paint is slightly metal flaked. I advise you all to lay down a filler primer and sand it flat as this fills all the inperfections on the wheels. I repaired one of my seriously kerbed 1s (thanks mum) and sprayed it as a test piece with no primer just spray and it highlights the tinyest mark or inperfection on the wheels. I would rather spray mine than powder coat as sometimes if you catch a powder coated wheel the paint chips of and then the paint around it starts flaking also but thats just my opinon cheers.

I for one am sick of seeing the word "chavvie" being applied to any of SCN.net's members cars or even things they want to do to their cars.

For me, the fact this community is so vibrant, active and mature utterly and completely negates all of the usual traits associated with the Max Power fanbase of Corsa owners and Rispeed fanboys.

Having a £12,000 car with 230+ BHP, being a member of a recognised owners club/community and spending time, money and effort on this machine is the polar-inverse of everything that embodies a chav, or a boy racer.

Wanting to spray your wheels a different shade should be a mile apart from buying a £20 alloy tailpipe from Halfords or fitting blue LEDs to youe washer jets. For me, power coating your alloys in a colour you prefer to that of a standard LCR is a totally acceptable choice.

How the fudge is it chavvy?

had email from andy at wheel styles. i would consider it more, but cost is a factor
